What is MPN?

MPN Chinese name: myeloproliferative tumor , is a blood tumor in which the hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow are abnormal, resulting in abnormal blood counts. Most patients have known genetic mutations, such as: JAK2, CALR, MPL. There are three common MPN diseases:

1. Erythrocytosis vera (PV):

Mainly red blood cell hyperplasia, but there are also problems with platelet and leukocytosis.

2. Essential thrombocytosis (ET):

Mainly platelet proliferation.

3. Primary myelofibrosis (PMF):

Mainly, the proliferation of fibroblasts in the bone marrow prevents other blood cells from being produced normally. It is further divided into: early stage of myelofibrosis (pre-PMF) and obvious stage of myelofibrosis (overt PMF).
